Winter

In the winter, you’re spoilt for choice with several nearby ski areas. Civetta Ski is the closest, while the Marmolada and the interconnected Sella Ronda ski area are a mere 15-minute drive away. The best part? All these ski areas are accessible with a single joint skipass, the Dolomiti Superski pass. Both areas are also serviced by a ski bus. If you prefer a slower pace, there are numerous winter hiking trails close by. For a bite to eat or a spot of shopping, the charming villages of Caprile and Alleghe are just a stone’s throw away.

In winter, you're spoilt for choice between several ski resorts and hiking trails nearby. Read on to find out more.

Skiing

The nearest ski areas are ski civetta and the sella ronda ski area. For the ski Civetta area, start in Alleghe and the tour around the sella ronda is best started in Malga Ciapela or Arraba. If you have more time, you can also try other ski areas nearby, such as the cinque torre ski area or the slopes in Cortina d'Ampezzo. More information on all ski areas and the ski pass can be found on the website dolomitisuperski.com.

Skitouring

If you prefer to stay a bit further away from the resorts, there are also several options for touring ski tours nearby. Tours that should definitely not be missed on your trip are the Punta Rocca or Punta Penia, aka the summit of the Marmolada and the Piz Boë, the summit of the Sella Ronda. Monte Pelmo is also a winner! For more inspiration, be sure to check out our komoot account or one of the many guides in our flat.

Hiking

There are several beautiful walks to do in winter. If you stay at a lower altitude or if there is not so much snow, you can just walk on hiking boots, but otherwise you better strap a pair of snowshoes under your feet. On our komoot page and in the many guides at our apartment you will find a lot of inspiration.

More
